A birthday wish from Jo In Sung!

Not for me, because it’s not my birthday duh. A clarification because title might be misleading.

Anyway, JO IN SUNG IS SUCH A SWEETHEART OMG!!!!!

WE GOT HIM TO WISH WEN YI HAPPY BIRTHDAY, IN PUBLIC, DURING HIS SHOW/EVENT/FANMEET!!! AND IT WAS THE LAST THING HE SAID BEFORE LEAVING THE STAGE!!

We went to his event/show/fanmeet with a fan board (not really but sort of), with a message to ask him to wish her happy birthday, AND HE DID OMG WHAT AN ACHIEVEMENT OMG.

We were so happy and excited we started yelling and jumping, so much that we couldn’t hear him after “wishie” HAHAHA. I even jumped several times in my heels and screamed my lungs out OMG I never thought I would do that!!

He struggled to read the message, because there isn’t really a Korean word for “wish” so he was a little confused when he read “wishie wen yi” haha! But smartie figured it out when he read the Korean words for Happy Birthday haha.

But apparently Wen Yi didn’t really know the message was for her wtf, or even bothered to listen! She wasn’t with us, and she apparently wondered what the heck was he saying when he said “wishie” and went on her phone instead wtf okay.

She didn’t even hear him saying her name lolol okay.

But anyway WHAT AN ACHIEVEMENT *pats self. While we thought we’d try to get him to wish her in public, we also didn’t really expect him to actually do it or for our plan to succeed!

Wtf so it was more of a surprise for us than the birthday girl wtf.

Actually, she already got Mr. Tall (not dark) and Handsome to wish her happy birthday, and even took a photo with him during the press conference. We were a little disappointed for a while but we figured that “the show must go on” wtf, and this one would be public! Now it might even be on TV! Okay it’s not very likely, but Zoey had it on video and Wen Yi’s friend too!!

I am so happy right now I’m smiling from ear to ear. I am also a little jelly that her birthday so awesome pfft. Oh well.

I think I came up with the idea hehehe. It occurred to me when she said Jo In Sung is coming on her birthday wtf. My imagination ran wild LOL and I was speaking my thoughts out loud, so I basically told her! I regretted immediately wtf since I thought it was very much do-able. But I guess she did not think my best case scenario would actually really happen, so hehehehehehehe.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WENYI!!! ♥♥♥♥♥

Wen Yi Tay 2013 birthday polaroid

I know Jo In Sung is very super sweet, but your friends us damn freaking sweet too please.

Wen Yi’s friend made a video already! I haven’t even gotten the pictures wtf. But this looks freaking damn nice woohoo!

This is a photo that One TV Asia uploaded onto their Facebook. You can roughly see the black fanboard with coloured Korean words!! Next to his shoulder I guess. That’s ours hehehe. Poor guy, he only had two proper fan boards (that’s not on a piece of paper, book or tablet) I think, and one of them (ours) is not even really about him hahaha.

But OMG he is damn freaking good looking in real life, and I quote Jen, she thought he was a his own cardboard cutout hahahaha. And he’s such a sweetheart, and he wished Wen Yi happy birthday again, omg cannot I think I am actually going to watch his drama with a weird title, That Winter, The Wind Blows, and also the questionable cotton candy “kiss” scene. I am cringing at the thought of it already. How did that become the famous signature romantic scene?

And since she already covered her own face and watermarked it, and it’s the only picture I have..

hot iPhone

My iPhone is hotter than yours.

Purple

purple hair strand

Bullshit “inspirational / deep” quote:

Some people are like my hair, beautiful on the outside, but upon closer inspection, you’ll see how damaged it really is.

I know, isn’t it just so deep? I came up with that all by myself! (fine, with the help of caffeine.)

My life’s to-do list: Bleach hair. CHECK!

Onto another exciting news (only to me), I finally got rid of my unflattering triple-toned hair*!

I know it doesn’t look like it, but the colour I chose is named Light Ash Blonde, SO HEY I’M A BLONDE NOW HAHA! (not really.) To its credit, it does look dark ash blonde-ish brown under the sunlight, I guess.

This is the best picture I have of me under the sun that could depict how light it can look, although uh, I used iPhone’s front camera.

Anyway, this was like last week, so the purple has faded. *heart breaks </3

*1, my black roots that I wanted to grow out; 2, previous colour I dyed that was left in my hair; and 3, a failed faded dark brown dye I used in hopes to keep it consistent with my black roots.

Unibrow

Wen Yi Tay, Zoey Tay, Fiona Chan unibrow

I’m the one with unibrow! Obviously.

Just to clarify, this was an unintended illusion. Fortunately, I do not actually have an unibrow.

Name card

Drives IT Distribution name card
The name cards I’ve designed for my mum’s company is finally here! Not for me, I don’t need one. But after seeing this I kind of want one. D:

It’s so nice and different to see the physical real thing, looks better than on my computer screen. Isn’t it a thing of beauty? The red really does pop!

They didn’t choose my favourite one though. :(

Oh and right, advertisement time. The company is Drives IT Distribution, IT for Information Technology, as in IT products. Phew, now that that’s out of the way, there’s also a small giveaway on the Facebook page, and it would be appreciated if you would do the thing people always ask everyone to do, like and share it. Thank you!

I’ve also been handling it’s Instagram page. It’s been absolute pleasure. I get to Instagram without using my identity, and spam the hash tags haha! I’ve always wanted to do that, seems fun and annoying. Now I have a good excuse/reason to spam hash tags. It’s probably the most fun social media to handle so far.

What I did for New Year

Here’s another What I Did post for new year, because I had fun writing the Christmas one. And this post is late because I’m slow like that D: and it’s not as fun to write as the last one, for some reason! :(

Happy new year guys! 😘

  1. An actual and proper countdown this time! Sprays, fireworks and everything.
  2. With Debbie! All 6 of us together again! Welcome back you awesomeness.
    London Town Publika
  3. Also had dinner in London Town, Publika, because Jo Yi confused Solaris Mont Kiara and Solaris Dutamas haha! But they’re just next to each other anyway.
    London Town Publika burger
  4. We left Publika (slightly reluctantly, knowing that Bunkface was going to perform there that night) to continue our night in SohoKL.
  5. Which was less crowded and happening than Bukit Bintang, but that’s exactly why it was more enjoyable.
SohoKL Solaris Mont Kiara new year countdown 2013
  6. Had beer, in a rather futile attempt to get ourselves high.
SohoKL Solaris Mont Kiara new year countdown 2013
  7. Then we got high on adrenaline (or at least I’d like to think so, but maybe it was really the beer, who knows.)
  8. High enough to join the line of people running around. It was awesome.
  9. We group hugged, accidentally bumped into a random dude, and he group-hugged us all. Aww, happy new year to you too.
  10. Screamed to my heart’s content.
  11. Got hit on by a younger white boy.
  12. Who isn’t any of the two hot guys we fancied. Oh you innocent youngster.
  13. Blasted and sang along, or rather, shouted along to What Makes You Beautiful by One Direction in the car, on the way back to Deb’s. It was great.
  14. Promptly lost my voice for the night, which recovered by the next morning. My voice is weird that way.
  15. Sneaked out to chill at the pool downstairs. -_-
  16. Accompanied by three mini bottles of Whiskey and coke. Nope, not cocaine.
Mini Jack Daniels and Johnnie Walker Black Label mini whiskeys
  17. The evil one of us (coughJENcough) pulled poor Deb into the pool.
  18. Walked with wobbly legs and noticed my screwed up sense of balance.
  19. And I’ve finally decided to sleepover at the last minute when I got lazy to drive home (and lost my sense of whatsoever).
  20. They decided they wanted music to sleep to, and I put my (only) 5 The xx songs on repeat. And surprise! It annoyed them (and me).
  21. I went all the way home to shower in the morning, due to the lack of toiletries and change of clothes (wouldn’t mind usually, but it got sprayed too much I’m unwilling to wear it for another day).
  22. Then back out the door, all of us squeezing in Jen’s car, for Bak Kut Teh in Klang!
  23. Us being the smartest geniuses, didn’t know the name or the exact location of the shop, or even how to get there.
  24. And when we found it, it was closed. Jokes on us.
  25. Nearly settled for Pizza Hut or Maggi Hot Cup, because we were starving.
  26. Thankfully, we were smart enough to settle for another BKT shop instead. This time we knew it was open because two people checked in on Foursquare haha! We are smart afterall.

  27. Went home, and took a much needed nap.

Saw this cutie in Borders.

What I did this Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone! Hope you had a great Christmas with family or friends, or alone, whatever. I spent it with my friends, and here’s 25 things I did this Christmas, in that order (mostly).

  1. Another (semi-impromptu) sleepover at Jo Yi’s house.
  2. Failed countdown party at her house with the Ungs, her cousin, her brother’s friends, and of course, miss Wen Yi and Zoey. Jen couldn’t make it.
  3. Fail countdown party because
    1. no one was counting down, I mean, no one.
    2. the guys were too engrossed in their FIFA game
    3. we missed it by two minutes, noticing only at 12.02 am.
    4. Wen Yi & Zoey spent their countdown in the car haha
    5. there was also no food around. Not that I’m complaining, it’s just party usually had food.
    6. we also didn’t party, or do anything party-like.
  4. Zoey and I finally met this guy we’ve been dying to meet forever (out of curiousity, not admiration). Tried our best not to stare.
  5. We sat around laughing (non-stop, we were uncontrollable), talking, eating, and watching the guys play FIFA.
  6. We were also all squeezing on her couch together, her big couch felt so small with so many people around.
  7. Took plenty of pictures. See some below.

    Zoey’s fond of biting.

You can see some of the guys playing!
  8. Woke her relatives up from their sleep several times. No one really tried to keep their volume down, oops.
  9. Tried my first frozen grape!
    frozen grape
  10. Had a delicious chicken special cheese burger!
  11. Zoey and I brought our books down to read while the remaining guys continued playing FIFA.
  12. I didn’t think they were ever going to leave.
  13. Jo Yi went to bed first, after deciding that we should all share her bed. We remained down in the living room.
  14. The rest finally left at 5am (!!) when the cousin had to go to sleep. I thought they were never leaving.
  15. We decided to sleep on the (super comfortable and roomy) couch in the living room, instead of squeezing together on Jo Yi’s bed, now that we have the whole living room and couch to ourselves.
  16. Wen Yi fell asleep soon after, while Zoey and I talked for two hours wtf. I thought I wasn’t going to sleep.
  17. At 7 freaking am, when all the relatives were up, we finally decided to stop talking and go to sleep.
  18. Went up to Jo Yi’s bedroom to continue sleeping when accidentally woken up.
  19. Zoey and I finally woke up at 4pm!
  20. Watched some lawyer/police HK drama on Astro on Demand, while eating butter cookies to fight hunger.
  21. Said we were going to leave but ended up watching one more episode.
  22. Also said we were going out to eat but didn’t happen.
  23. FINALLY LEFT.
  24. Went to Rachel’s open house. Finally had my first proper meal.

    Picture stolen from Katrina’s Instagram.
  25. Home sweet home.

It was a great Christmas.

Wreck-It Ralph (& other movies)

Hello! I’m well and alive after my final exams! Mine actually ended a month ago, but I don’t imagine anyone to care.

Normally I don’t write about the movies I watched, let alone reviews. Especially since I watch a lot of them, both in cinema and on my laptop. ;)

But anyway Feeq brought me to the premiere of Wreck It Ralph on the 22nd, and they gave us a press kit, so now I feel obligated to. Well hello there. (And I went through the Iron Man 3 folder in the press CD, apparently it’s going to be available around April 2013 aka/or summer 2013? I’m sorry, I didn’t get the memo that said summer in US moved to April.)

Wreck-It Ralph

Summary:
A video game villain wants to be a hero and sets out to fulfill his dream, but his quest brings havoc to the whole arcade where he lives.

Wreck-It Ralph (voice of Reilly) longs to be as beloved as his game’s perfect Good Guy, Fix-It Felix (voice of McBrayer). Problem is, nobody loves a Bad Guy. But they do love heroes… so when a modern, first-person shooter game arrives featuring tough-as-nails Sergeant Calhoun (voice of Lynch), Ralph sees it as his ticket to heroism and happiness. He sneaks into the game with a simple plan — win a medal — but soon wrecks everything, and accidentally unleashes a deadly enemy that threatens every game in the arcade. Ralph’s only hope? Vanellope von Schweetz (voice of Silverman), a young troublemaking “glitch” from a candy-coated cart racing game who might just be the one to teach Ralph what it means to be a Good Guy. But will he realize he is good enough to become a hero before it’s “Game Over” for the entire arcade?

This summary from IMDb is actually a little off, but I’m not going to write my own. And since I’m late, the movie has been out in Malaysia cinemas since 29th November, so you can catch it in the cinemas now.

Wreck-It Ralph, Vanellope, Sergeant Calhoun, Fix-It Felix
The four main characters from Wreck-It Ralph! Two super cute ones, one bad-ass, one.. huge I guess.

Wreck-It Ralph was so cute! And so cool! I love how they are able to interact with game characters from other games, travel to other games, form their own society (like Bad Guys Anon HAHAHA!), go to a bar and drink omg, and wtf have their own train system! So cool!

It all became very amusing and interesting when the characters from these different game worlds, with different resolution (8-bit to super high-tech ones), interact in a game world not of their own. Sometimes an 8-bit character will cross over to another game and become all “normal”, and sometimes vice versa and become a tiny 8-bit character. SO CUTE! AND SO COOL! And so amusing!

It was pretty heartwarming, as it was cute and cool. I teared a little. :’) Or a little more.

A lot of familiar game characters made cameo appearances in the movie, but mostly just my childhood game characters because I don’t recognize new ones. It made me miss my carefree childhood. And I wonder if Disney went through a lot of trouble to get the permission to use them in the movie.

I found this picture and hahahahaha I can’t stop laughing at it!

Cold war HK Hong Kong 2012 film movie poster aaron kwok tony leung

On another note, Cold War (寒戰) was amazing I think I need to rewatch soon! It was very intense, and very thrilling. Holy shit Aaron Kwok (郭富城) is an amazing actor! I felt like the movie brought me on a plot-roller-coaster ride wtf. It definitely helped that Eddie Peng (彭于晏) and Aarif Rahman (李治廷) are very good looking men!

I’ve been extra exposed to Chinese media lately. I was watching bits and pieces of the drama Lam Fung was in, Highs and Lows? And now also bits and pieces of the drama where the man has like 4 wives wtf.

And I’ve also watched The Fierce Wife in the cinema. She was neither fierce, or a wife wtf. And it was one awful and boring movie. I feel like I paid just to look at the girl being pretty on a big screen for 2 hours. Nothing much really happened that couldn’t be summarized into one normal short TV episode. It definitely didn’t need a movie to end the TV drama.
